Turns out you don't just get a car in Cancun and drive across the Yucatán. Yesterday was a day! I have never been passed by two vehicles at the same time ( three lanes wide in a single lane) doing a hundred plus in a forty zone.

But, we survived. This is my view for the next two weeks.

I looked for presidente light for authenticity, but I was taking what I could get.

North west side of the peninsula. There were 3 google construction notifications along the drive to Merida, it was serious construction for 90% of the drive. About 5 hours driving and I was so wiped I think we were in bed by 630. Day one was a tough go, but I think we hit a good spot. Lots to see and do within an hour drive. The house obviously DNS! We are in Telchac Puerto.

This was a 20 minute drive

I am quickly learning about portions in mexico. I was full by the time this showed up.

Pulpo a las brasas.

Grilled octopus. Marinated in hot sauce, tender, smokey, and rich. Sadly I couldn't truly appreciate it I was so full.

I'm like a kid in a candy store with all of this food.

I'm curious to see how long it takes for Mexico to dry out.. It was a good rain, but there is definitely something to say about storm drains.

Took in the RV show at the Civic Center today. Ran into an old friend who has been RVing for 25 years. He said the campgrounds are so crowded sinse the pandemic, he makes all his reservations at least a year in advance. Kinda spoiled our reason for maybe getting one, lol... Then we saw the prices. Might just build a new house instead!
