I keep most of my carboys on dollies now I picked up at Harbor Freight. It sure makes it a lot easier to move them around. The only issue I had was when I would push on one it would some times bump against another since there is only a 1/4-1/2" between them. What a horrible, freightning noise (glass on glass) knowing there is a potential 12 gallon loss of wine plus carboys.

Problem solved. I went to Home Depot today and bought some indoor/outdoor carpet at 0.53 a foot. I had them cut me two 12" strips from a 12' roll. At home I cut them into 36" pieces and taped them together to slide over the carboys. Now every center carboy is covered protecting all three.

You do know most people try to keep wine out of their carpet :)

But really thats a great idea!

Good idea, Dan. I was at a friends house last night, his wife was unloading the dishwasher. There was the sound of the dreaded clank and she lost one of her good dishes. Felt really bad for her, but that didn't help the plate. Arne.

Good idea, I probably would have went all the way at that point and done them all.

Great looking wine.. At least now you know it is protected from social clearing dangers.
