I have come into about 20 litres of quality apple juice(with no preservatives) and am looking into making apple wine with it. I like the taste of alcohol and want to make it stronger than 10 or 15 percent.
I recently made a batch of sugarshine(for making moonshine) by adding 10 kilos of dextrose to 20 litres of water and adding "Turbo power yeast" by Still Spirits. This came out to about 23% before I added it to my still.
I was wondering if I could add this same type of yeast to the apple juice to get around the same alcohol percentage. Also to do this would I need to add sugar?
Thank you for your input.
