I want to start a batch of Pee today but have no slurry. Do i just follow the recipe and sprinkle the yeast on top? What would be the best yeast to use for this?

Going to the store in a couple hours to buy supplies so need help FAST.

Thanks in advance to all that reply.

lavlin ec-1118 would be the best yeast to use for this, and your best bet in this case would be to at least rehydrate your yeast first....but that's just imho....

yes....rehydrate in warm, NOT hot water.....hot water will certainly kill your yeast off....

make a yeast starter first, then add that to the must.

to make the starter I would just ad my yeast to some warm water and disloved sugar and let that go for a day or two?

If you're looking for a rapid ferment more characterized by the power of a slurry, you might want to use two packets of yeast.

Thats what I got 2 packets of Laven-1118. Time to get going on the yeast starter!
