I'm building a rack for aging my wine. As I use a variety of bottle styles I think using a simple "hole design" as all bottles will be horizontal no matter their dimensions. This also allows more airflow around the bottles.
This is easy to make too - just a long piece of 1x4 with holes drilled at appropriate intervals and angled correctly to make the bottles horizontal.
Does anyone think that this might over-stress the bottle when aged for months/years? Realistically glass is very strong even when full, but before I go down this road I just want to check.
