has any one tried the Castel del Papa? Love wines from that region and wondered about this one

Thanks

Steve

I can't say for sure about Mosti and this particular wine kit, but sometimes a wine kit is "in the style of" a particular wine or region and may in fact not actually be from that region.

I would contact Mosti and ask them point-blank about where the grapes are from. I am only saying that you need to do a little research.

Regardless, the Renaissance kits are really nice kits (one of my favorites) and I am sure you will enjoy this wine.
If you do ask them, please report back and let us know what they say.

If I remember correctly George at The Toy Store mentioned the grapes were from that region but I sent an Inquiry to MM. Just waiting for a response.

Thanks

Steve

If anyone still wants to know, the Castel del Papa kit uses grapes from Italy. I just started one and that is what it said on the box. George told me that no kits have juice from France due to French law prohibiting the export of wine grapes or juice.

Makes sense, those silly french.......

I have made quite a few of the Renaissance kits and have been pleased with each and every one. Very good bang for the buck and I understand that (rumor is) soon they will be coming with grape packs.

It is true. At least some of the Rennaissance kits come with a 4 kg grape pack. The Amarone kit I just bought and started yesterday came with the grape pack. The grapes are a bit more macerated than the ones in some other kits.
