Hope this post finds all doing well...

This is my 2nd batch of wine making and my 1st batch of white...so lots to learn!

I am in the primary fermenter waiting for specific gravity to be between 1.040 and 1.050 and it doesn't appear to be moving that direction...it appears to be hovering around 1.010....

What are your thoughts? Move on to yeast nutrient and first racking or wait? I look forward to your responses...thank you!

If you are reading the hydrometer right its close to complete. What kit is it and when did you start, temp? Depending on that some kits say to rack now some when dry.
What was the starting gravity?

Did you give us the right number? If it's 1.010 then tepe is correct and it's probably ok to rack to the secondary. If you meant 1.100 then your fermentation may not be off to a good start. Is it foaming? Bubbling? If not, check the reading again to make sure but if it's at 1.100 let us know and someone will chime in with a way to get it going again. There are several options there.

If it is foaming and bubbling at 1.100 just make sure that it's at 70 - 75° and it should work its way down.

It is reading 1.010...directions said between 1.040 and 1.050...so I'm good to go?

Yep, you missed that sg which is good cause not many like those instructions an d if you are new and follow them you would have most likely had a big nmess on your hands. You are past that point now and I would rack it now over to carboy.
