I finally got around to starting the Trio do Vinho Tinto from last spring's RQ kits from Spagnols. I've been hearing good things about it from others who have made it and have been looking forward to it.
I was amazed at the starting SG of 1.108 - I mixed it well, took a reading with 2 hydrometers, filled it to slightly more than 23 liters, and a temperature differential for the hydrometer was negligible and still got this OG.
I'm wondering what others got with this kit to see if this is the norm? This is the highest by far I've ever had in a kit wine.
