I'm new at this, so this is probably a stupid question. But is it ok to reuse the screw on lids if you clean them and sanitize them properly, or do you need to use new lids every time you bottle your wine?
This is not a stupid question. I've heard a lot of stupid questions in my lifetime, and this does not count. I reuse screw caps after washing and saniting. Never had a problem. I always use the screw cap bottles first. I know that if I use the same cap that came on the bottle that it will fit right.
It seems like if you don't ask, there will be some glaringly obvious problem with whatever it is, that you can't see, so it's always best to ask. No one wants to ruin a batch of wine because pride kept them from asking a question.
