Seriously thinking of jumping on this one due to the sale going on at my online retailer.

I think @dangerdave and @Rocky made this kit some time ago, would like feedback on this of anyone that has done it.
WE also has the California Riesling and it seems to be $10 cheaper than the Australian Riesling.

Wondering how better/good is the Australian version compared to the Californian version?

I also had the Australian Chardonnay in mind.

Hey Varis, sorry for taking such a long time to get back to you. I just went into the cellar and tried some of the Traminer-Riesling and to see how it is progressing so I could give you an answer. For some background, I started the kit on 10-8-14 and it went into bulk aging on 11-12, which is where I have it at present. I took a small taste just now and it is just okay. It has a nice fruity taste but there is a very slight, almost metallic taste at the end. I will get a better idea in about 2 more months. So to answer your question, I am neither a raving fan nor an angry buyer of this kit. I bought it because my wife and I used to enjoy a Traminer-Riesling from California about 20 years ago so I thought I would give it a go. At this point, I probably would not buy it again with other alternatives that have been proven, e.g. Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc.

Not much help, I am sure, but there you have it.

Thanks Rocky, I wonder how it will taste in a couple months from now since it is only 3 months currently.

Thanks for the feedback.
I am also debating on the WE SI Australian Chardonnay which I think you made some time ago, or maybe it was the WE Selection California?

Given my experience, I'd go with something from California vs something from Austrailia. I might just have one bottle of the Australian T-R around here somewhere. It's a couple of years old now.
