Some may know of this, some may not...I dont have time to search all the time, thought some of you may find some bargains here..
Notice there is no shipping cost, a small handling fee, and all the money goes to a charitable cause....

this is an online auction for every goodwill store in america.

it is not in order. Actually, it is more like out of order, like it ain't working!

I would be suspicious. I would have expected Goodwill to be a dot org rather than a dot com... but then I am trained to question everything...

Bernard, I just noticed that you're located in Saratoga, beautiful place! We're not too far from you here in Poughkeepsie.

I don't want to hijack James' thread but Saratoga is really a very lovely city. We are about 2 hours north of Poughkeepsie and about 3 hours south of Montreal. Less than 30,000 people and two colleges - Skidmore ( a very high priced private school) and Empire State College - where I work and teach, part of the State University of New York that caters to adult learners. We have SPAC - the performing arts center which is home to NYC ballet in the summer, and folk and rock concerts and festivals throughout the summer, Caffe Lena, still going strong yet where Bob Dylan cut his teeth and Don Mclean was said to have written American Pie at a table in the cafe (the latter was thought to be true until Mclean stated about two years ago that he wrote the song in a hotel room but it was first played here). The potato chip was supposed to have been created here- and I think that that IS true. We have thoroughbred horse racing and horse sales, and recently a group of electronic chip manufacturers have just opened a multi billion dollar plant outside the city.

The city park was designed by the same architect who designed Central Park in NYC (Olmstead) and we have about a dozen natural mineral springs, some with very high sulfur content and others with very high sodium content and we have state sealed spring water (it's free).

Truth is that there is virtually no crime to speak of in this city, but, horrifically, a woman died of hypothermia here about two weeks ago and the city immediately implemented what it calls "Code Blue" - making facilities available to people who need shelter from the cold
