Seems like we pushed it past the moderators' limits. While I understand why they do what they do, I do not agree with it. I'm with you though. They are talking about banning any rifle with a pistol grip under the action and taxing ammo at 50 percent in my state.

But let's not turn this into a debate thread.

For the record me and UBB had a private message exchange and we both stated that we respected each others opinions and respected each other for meaningful discussion. And I respect everybody's opinion here and have taken quite a bit away from out discussion. Merry Christmas everybody and a happy, safe new year.

Merry Chistmast to you too, Doug! I think you're the first Chistian we've had on the forum! (Just joking - Merry Christmas)

I've been on a lot of different forums and have seen all kinds of knock down drag out fights. It nearly always ends up creating hard feelings and damaging the culture of the forum. So I understand and agree with the moderators on this board.

Thanks to everyone for making this such a wonderful place to talk about wine.

Hey - we're "easy" here, in comparison! I was jumped for mentioning Boy Scouts on another forum because of the issues with... well -- the "issues" some people have about Boy Scouts! Hope I'm not pushing it here - I don't mean to be - but Merry Christmas to one and all.

I'm just hoping Santa has room to bring me a new crusher-destemmer in his sleigh!

Sorry, we have to do this when threads get ugly. Believe me its not something we like to do. We do send pm's and do announce publicly to please keep it respectably under control but people as a whole just cant do that so we have to nip it before it gets out of hand. Sometimes we even wait too long before removing it and things are already out of control.
