Hello my name is Bob i am a sportsman and family man i work in the medical field and i drink and make wine. I started my adventure in wine making approx 3 years ago my first wine was a welches sugar and yeast in the original bottle with a balloon attached to it and the result was near rocket fuel which i still have in an old jim beam bottle. I have since purchased proper equipment and continue buying equipment. I have had success with the staples like skeeter pee, dragons blood, and apfelwein but hopefully i can return to the concord grape wine for a rematch this time with fresh grapes. I live and work in cambria county PA and i guess thats about it.

Hi Bob,
I am also in the medical field. I have been making wine for almost a year now out of fresh produce. So far Grape, strawberry, strawberry rhubarb, blueberry, sour cherry and soon black cap and cranberry grape. I have only tried my grape and the others still need time to sit. Grape was good at first and 6 months later it was even better!!! Love it!

Welcome to the forum!

BTW, became a Keystoner (is that what they call folks who hail from PA?) last year this month having moved from the Nutmeg (CT) State.

Welcome from a fellow Pennsylvanian. I've made a Concord/Niagara Welch's blend that is pretty good, but the second batch of Niagara/Peach/Mango I made is very good. No one who has tried it has a clue that it is from Welch's frozen concentrate (plus additional frozen fruit). I can't even tell it is Welch's and I made it!

Welcome,
I too work for a large medical group here in NY. IT Telecom Engineer, I have been at this for just about 2 yrs. wish I too started sooner. Would love to pass this on to my kids someday as well.

Steve
