My JOA is done. Bottled today. It's not going to last six months. It's incredibly tasty! A tad pithy....but it's not overpowering. It's very sweet, but the hubs and I love sweet wines like moscato, so this is great for us! Bolstered by my success, I think I shall make two more gallons!

Closest thing i can think of... is Joes Ancient Orange Mead... JAOM

Pithiness sounds like orange peels to me

That should have read JAO. I'm dyslexic today. I started my foray into wine making with mead.

That's awesome, I'm three days into ferment with my first batch of mead. I can't wait, there's no way I'm gonna be able to let it age.
