I am not exactly a newbie at wine making but this is certainly a newbie mistake.

I have never used superclear before until today, I usually use sparkoloid.
SO
What happens if you get part 1 and part 2 mixed up?
What I did was disolved part one in 1 oz of water and put part 2 straight into the wine. LOL

I know what a goof, and believe it or not it was because I picked the package up backwards and cut the corner off the wrong one even after reading the directions. ROFLMAO

So will it hurt, still work, or do I need to do it again later the right way?

I don't think it's a big deal....The worst that can happen is the it wont clear. If that's the case, start again in the right order this time ;)

Heck even if you screwed it up it is like a 3 dollar mistake... no worries there

I put them in reversed before I relized what I had done.

No real worries now though, it has already gotten real clear, still needs some time but it is working just fine. I also used it on my elderberry which just didn't want to clear up. I haven't been back home to look at it yet but I will as soon as I get there. At least with the elderberry I did it right, LOL.

If you put them in reversed, it makes the wrong particles work first and creates a reverse vortex. Because it is reversed, it coninues picking up speed in the carboy until it reaches the speed of light at which time it creates a sonic boom and breaks the carboy................................................................................................:i. really, yeah, that's right...... what....... nobody believes me? Hey, don't shoot the messenger:gb:slp

Well, maybe not - you will be fine!

The only problem with doing it this way is that the lees may not compact as much but I highly dought that it will make a difference, that is the reasononoing behind it though as Ive asked the manufacturer this very question a few years back when I was researching about the sheelfish and people with allergies towards shellfish in which they assured me there is no worries there as the proteins are removed in the process of making this product.
