POST NUMBER 5000 ..Dedicated to the forum members of Fine vine Wines
Walking slowly into the forum, I feel the piercing of the eyes watching my fingers as they reach for the keyboard. Thequietness that falls across the forum is "LOUD".
My heart races as I remember back to my time as a "Newbie" and how I devoured every post, desperately seeking tofeed that burning desire to learn to make wine. I remember "Hippie" and the other memberstaking me undertheir wing, nurturing that desire with guidance and encouragement. I was made a part of a family that will I will take to the grave with me for they are deeply embedded in my heart. I have made many friends that I have never met yet I know them well. I laugh at timesat some of the desperate cries for help from other Newbies. It is not at them but because i remember myself being there, the horror to me in the moment and then the guidance I was needing or the reassurance that all was ok coming from my "family"
Iwonder how many of these 5000 posts were in the form of a "Thank You" for assistance or encouragement given. I could ramble the rest of the night but I will close with this, My milestone post may not be what some were expecting but with me, you never know what you will get, just be assured that what you do get is straight from the heart becaue i have this really bad habit of just opening my mouth and letting my heart speak.

Waldo I guess you are like me - only half as "Chatty" as Wade!
Like the commercial where they say that a woman will say 3 million words a year, where a man only says about 1/4 that many!

He and I are busy today prepping our musts. I am awaiting the incompetent FedEx Driver who can't find my house. Even with George putting the right address, they still can't find me. They had to call me to get directions this morning. Geez, don't they have GPS on board? And what happened to my old driver, he/she could find my house?
