Guess I never did this. This is me and my wife in a tiny hilltop town in Tuscany.
In Florence with wife and buying wine in Florence.
The guy reluctantly selling me the wine didn't think I deserved to buy such a fine 1997 Brunello. He said (in Italian, best I could understand) that if I opened this bottle before ten years he would come down out of the sky and take it back from me. I still haven't opened it, only been seven years.

Mithas by Corte Sant Alda, It's actually a 1997 Amarone not Brunello. I mostly bought Brunellos though. Paid 80 Euro in 2004. See it tonight for $170.00us.

Anarone is a great wine when fermented properly will be good for years. I made Amarone 6 years ago and still will not serve.
Good luck.
Any future plans on opening it? if so for what occasion?

My wife Loooves Amarone, so I am sure I will open it on some special day of hers. Could be her 60th or our 35th, both are a few years off still.

No, but we just had to put down one that was just as mean.

Randy I also have a Yorkie that is 14 years old. Last year her hip gave out on her and the vet said she had to lose 6 ounces. LOL We put her on an Senoir diet food and she did lose a pound in the last 10 months. A few weeks ago she somehoe broke two front toes and we have no idea how she did it.

Just realized I have never posted a pic here, so here you go. My wife, daughter and me at Watkins Glen in New York earlier this year.
