I just opened a bottle of the Spanish Rose I made at the beginning of the year. It was my first wine kit. It was getting to be almost 5 months old. I have to say my wife and I were very impressed with it!!! Light and fruity and tasted great only slightly chilled. I decanted it for about an hour and then put in the refrigerature for about 45 minutes. There was just a tiny bit of sediment in it, but nothng I ever noticed while drinking it. I told my wife we'll try another bottle around Christmas or early next year when it is approaching a year old. I remember reading about others saying that they noticed an off taste in some of the WE kits, but mine tasted just like a commercial bottle. In fact it was better than the bottle of commercial Rose wine I bought a few months back. I hope WE puts this kit out again because I would definitely make this again. I am still waiting patiently for my Meglioli Riesling and WE Luna Rossa. Both are only about 3 months old. I was going to try and make a Viintner's Reverse kit and wanted to know if anyone has tried the Meza Luna White? It sounded like it would taste good.

These off flavors are usually only in the big red wines and is referred to as kit taste which is a little sweet like a Jolly Rancher candy. The white wines and other wines always seem to be really nice actually. That taste spoken of usually goes away with good time and can become a very nice wine. most of their limited editions such as this and sweeter wines are very good.

I started this kit in Janurary. It is fantastic! The flavors are coming together, but the hint of strawberry still lingers. It is my sister-in -laws fav. She recently went to a wine tasting and proclaimed that my wine was way better; what a complement!
