Used Barrel for Staves

I just found a source for neutral french oak barrels just taken out of circulation. They are currently filled with acidulated water so not some unknown planter quality or used barrel that you don't know where it's been. My thoughts were to disassemble the barrel and retoast for adjuncts. Since spirals and staves are around $10.00 each a $135.00 barrel would be a huge cost savings.

Been thinking the same, but I can get about as many as I want for $40-50.00
