Mosti Mondiale Visit to Mosti

For those of you that do not know, I am currently in my hotel in Montreal, Canada waiting to go to dinner with Nino Piazza, the owner of Mosti Mondiale. We arrrived on Wednesday and have hada wonderful time. Yesterday, we got the first class tour of their facility here and got to meet alot of the people that I have talked with on the the phone. We went to the casino last night and removed $200 from their bank! Today, we toured Old Montreal. We stopped every hour to have wine and pastries. It is a tough job, but someone has to do it.

Tonight, we are going to Nino's favorite Italian Restaurant with his wife, Antoinette. We will talk more business and drink more wine.\\


Tomorrow, Janna and I head to Ohio for LD Carlson's annual retailer's conference. I am sure we will learn alot and have fun, but it will take alot to beat the experience here in Montreal.

Wow, very cool! Is this the tour you were going to take with him when your Dad began to get ill! this is a much needed break for you and i hope yo and your wife have much fun and enjoy yourselves.

I didn't catch this before I PM'ed you. You are still there! I figured you were back home since I read another response to Wade's BIG post count. Glad you had a great time. Wish you had time to stop in for a chat on the way home. If you get up there again, ask for a tour of the Quebec Vineyards. They are scattered between Montreal all the way down to the border about 25 mile north of me.

Better yet if I were up near there I would want a tour of Champlain Vineyards!

Make a trip up this fall Wade and you can help pick some, bring them home and make some wine from grapes. You could pick up some fresh cider locally, or press that while you are here also and make some apple wine, sparkling wine or applejack. Early October would be perfect leaf peeping through The Adirondacks and back down through Vermont. Much later and the leaves start to fall.

Seriously though, Montreal has a lot of character and is quite friendly. It does look like a real dump when flying above it from the air, but once on the ground, people fall in love with the place.

I'm gonna warn ya the weather here in Ohio has beenreally sticky- prolly not nearly as hot as you are used to but muggy and full of allergy goodness!


Although great for crops - the corn on the family farm is as high as it normally is at end of August!

We just arrived in Cleveland, sans luggage! I hope they deliver the lost luggage before tomorrow because it is muggy and I will need a change of clothes.


Montreal was fabulous. We are already planning our next trip. It went really well with Mosti. They are definitely a class act and want to produce the best wine kits. I also came back with a new product, a balsamic vinegar that is out of this world. I will be putting it on the web site for ordering next week.


Getting ready to do the "meet and greet" thing, so will post more later.

Balsamic vinegar is all we use in our house along with grape seed oil to make all our salad dressing and for cooking. Cant wait to see what it costs and what it consists of. Have a great time George as you and your wife deserve it!

Got the luggage this morning before the days events. Just left everyone else for the evening and preparing to come home tomorrow. I love to travel, but I also love to come home.
