My daughter steered me to this website and said "that's just what you do too, dad"

Well, it looks like there is now a US franchise that has a tasting room; music and all the stuff to just start making wine. Guess what - it appears that they have most of the kits from most of the manufacturers and are just 'helping' people make their own wine. It looks like you just start the kit and come back in 45 days and bottle. You can design your own label or they will do it for you - all at a healthy price, I'm sure.

I knew that this was happening in Canada for quite awhile but now is in the US. Anyway, if you want to check it out here is the website:

FYI - it's only $35,000 + $5,000 + 4% royalty for your own franchise and then you have to lease a building and finally get started.

I LIKE OUR WAY MUCH MUCH BETTER!!!!!!

AND, besides that - we all have so many great friends on the forum!!!

It would be nice to have my own store like this but not by paying royalties to someone else.

just think how many kits could be made for 35-40,000 dollars. Sure would make George HAPPY

I worked for a couple of weeks for John at the original store in Castle Hills, Texas. He's a great salesman and we know the product is good so he just capitalized on it. He even sold wine to a couple of restaurants.

There are a couple of similar enterprises like http://www.winenotinternational.com/

Some of you guys have enough carboys and stuff to start one of those deals.

I wonder, seeing as the custome is buying the wine one way or the other, is there an alcohol tax¿. I mean, that is getting awful close to alcohol sales, aint it¿

Dont get me wrong, I dont care, I am just curious how that works.

<-------------------------- pays way to many taxes now

The big difference between Canadian and US wine-on-premise establishments like these is price. In Canada, you get charged around $100 to make your wine on premise. Here in the states, the going rate is $2-300 per batch. People are starting to find out how much they are paying for this "service" and are starting to come to me to save money. I do have to admit that these places are extremely good for my business.

I also might add that I have started selling Mosti products to some of these stores, as well. I love America!
