Wax Over Corks

Does anyone put wax over there corks when they bottle? I have noticed some commercial wineries do it along with some old guys who bottle wine.

No, I like my bottles to breath as I have favorable conditions in my cellar and the wax will not let a bottle age well.

Two years ago I bottled a plum wine.
I put indeed some wax over the corks and had
others bottled with screw caps.
Just for testing purposes.

In two years time when it has aged 4 years I plan to
open some bottles.

So patience. I will give you an answer in 2 years time
