This is my first kit ever, but I've made many country wines from scratch.

The title says it all. I have some packs of SuperKleer and lots of Isinglass. Looks like the volume of chitosan is way more than I have in my individual packages of SuperKleer, but hard to tell since it broke.

Can I sub the usual amount of Isinglass for the chitosan in this kit? I have far more Isinglass than SuperKleer.

Yes, or you can leave it out altogether if you give it some time to clear on it's own.

I agree you can safely sub (or safely leave out and just wait). And yes, a dose of chitosan does seem to be larger in volume than other clearing agents, but I agree with you that this does not matter -- just use a standard dose of isinglass.

I had the same problem and just used what was left in the package and let it sit longer. Did it get your sorbate and Kmeta too? It did mine so I used what I had on my shelf (skipped the sorbate)
