Latest project is painting the sunroom adjacent to the kitchen, reglazing the full-view door with new glass and flooring it with LVP. I built this room in 1995. Could not believe it took two gallons of white "stain blocker, primer included" ceiling paint to make the ceiling one shade of white – and I was painting over white! Couple walls to go, then on to the door repairs, then the flooring. Then a trim upgrade around that doorway. Had to get some deck time in this afternoon, it is 75 degrees out. Last Thursday, it was 28.

Just spent a morning in the attic, stapling up hardware cloth over the ridge vent where starlings had been getting in. The contractors who did my metal roof cut a vent slot up there but didn't put any blocking material in. I'm a bit long in the tooth to get up on the roof and pull the ridge and put it in, so I blocked it from underneath. The starlings had built a 3-foot high "nest" pile of straw. Quite impressive; it took 4 trash bags to get it all packed and hauled out. This afternoon, more caulking and painting on the sunroom project – after a break!

Well, I just got through rolling around on the floor, uninstalling my high-dollar dishwasher to be sure neither the supply line nor the waste line had leaks. Nope. Pushed it back in the hole for now. I got 2 months out of it and it is leaking The leak alarm went off yesterday. Dried the pan and tested it for a cycle, sure enough water was there again.

This is why I was so pissed when Costco delivered it and then said they wouldn't install it, because what if there is a problem. Now, I will either have to reinstall a new one they supply, or reinstall this one after a repair person comes. We'll see what happens on Monday. But I am damned sure my connections are not leaking.

Under edit: So, the Costco rep tried hard to channel me to GE repair. I told her, it was delivered 12/28, that is only 2 months. She kept pulling 12/17 out of thin air. Finally got her to say, well you are within our 90-day exchange period, so we can replace it for you. Good! That's what I want and expect. I still have to install it but I don't want to screw around with a repairman. Sheesh. >pfhtt!< Ahhh, Rolling Rock!

I will expect to see something special in the “What’s in your glass” thread later today.
You don't have to go that far. We got takeout from a favorite place -- my wife got chicken Pad Thai and I got a Nigiri platter ... after stopping at Harris Teeter and buying a bottle of Ginjo Sake.

I should have purchased 2. 🤣

I bought the Bosch 300 from Costco. Had free install. But not easy. Thankfully the installer allowed me to do a few quick remods (I had to remove some of the wood floor drill a bigger hole.). Not an issue since.

A dual floodlight on the corner of our garage crapped out. Finding a replacement that doesn't include a motion detector or camera took a bit. I purchased the replacement last weekend, and had to gird myself to do the job.

The fixture is low -- easily reached with a 6' stepladder ... but external electrical light replacements ALWAYS have some type of gotcha, so they take a lot longer than anyone would reasonably expect.

This one? It was REALLY strange, 'cuz nothing went wrong and I was done in 15 minutes, including putting the ladder away.

I'm currently deciding if I should buy a lottery ticket or prepare for a meteor to strike the earth. The lack of problems must be a harbinger of one or the other!

🤣

Rained out! I've planted 500 pine seedlings. 200 to go. I need 2 more days. A day off to let the body catch up!!

Hard to see, but each orange flag marks a tree.

Got another 100 in today. Rain next 4 days

I've done that before. Twice. First batch we hauled water to them and they came out OK, Second batch, we let 'em do their thing and there are TWO surviving. Hope you have good luck!
