Who is stealing Germany's grapes?

This happened last year in Washington state. Could be more signs of a bad economy but it certainly an act of desperation.

That is sad. A harvesting machine?!? Would take a lot of nerve to go in with a harvesting machine! A little high tech could solve that problem for the vintners and at a reasonable cost, too.

One year when my parents were up in their years, they had a half acre of corn growing. They babied that corn until it was time to pick. They went into the field one morning to pick and there was not a single ear of corn left. That seems like a little thing, not worth a ton of money, but to them is was devastating.

I have no love for thieves.
