There is a whole wine called cashmere. From one of my favorite vintners, no less:

I thought it was camel hair.

Just like odd packaging (e.g. blue bottles or odd shaped ones), if the wine does not sell on it's own merits then marketers get involved. Whenever I encounter this sort of thing I know enough to pass on it.

I would be very shocked if this wine is even rated or priced over $20.

Well, next time you describe a wine (or see a wine described) as "silky," think about where silk comes from! Yuk!
