Design2Brew in St Charles County / O'Fallon Missouri is offering a class for those individuals who have ordered fresh grapes and/or juice from California or one of the local Missouri wineries.
Winemaking Class with Fresh California Grapes or Fresh Juice
is a 90 minute class for the beginner wishing to learn the fundamental basics of making wine at home from Fresh Juice.
In this introductory class students will learn the following:
Basic equipment is necessary for home winemaking from fresh grapes or juice
Crushing and Pressing of Grape
Adjusting Acidity, pH and Sugar levels
Proper use, sanitization and equipment storage
Winemaking methods
The difference between making wine from fresh grape vs. fresh juice or concentrate kit
How to properly preserve and stabilize wines
Selecting corks and bottles and bottling procedures
Reference materials provided. Ongoing consulting always available!
The class will be facilitated by Craig Mason a member of the Missouri Valley Wine Society who is an award winning winemaker.
Classes will be limited in size to provide an intimate setting and more individualized attention. Pre-registration is required due to limited class size, and will be on a first come first served basis. The class will be held at Design2Brew, 9995 Winghaven Blvd. O'Fallon Missouri 63368.
Students must be 21 years of age to participate in course.
