I have some 1 year old furmint own rooted and doing great! Initially I’m more or less building up genetic stock of vinifera, hybrid and native grapes so I only really need a couple but I have several so I wouldn’t mind trading a few of them.
my interest are as follows.
Table grapes
more or less interested in newer varieties but there are older ones I do not have.
of particular interest is tickled pink.
So I’m open on table grapes
native grapes
I have at least one of half of the native species, variants and forms in the country but am only listing ones of particular interest
vitis monticola(blanc form)
vitis champinii(blanc form)
vitis mustangensis(blanc form)
vitis aestivalis v. Linsecommii
vitis aestivalis v pixiola
wine grapes I’m a little more particular
I am only interested in old vine Zinfandel and ancellotta for reds
whites I’m fairly open but prefer sweeter ones
Couple more thingof interest are what I call “Old American Varieties” basically stuff made here from the 1800’s but I can be somewhat picky.
I’m looking for things like Empire State, Bacchus, Clinton, Taylor, etc
lastly I’m looking for landrace grape species which are versions that taste good think how concord is to labrusca but for all species aka every concord is a labrusca but not every labrusca is a concord.
to my knowledge there are tasty versions of the following species
rupestris
Champinii
Riparia
Monticola
Californica
Girdiana
Labrusca
Aestivalis v linsecommii
Dos
Aestivalis v pixiola
Aestivalis v argentinofolia
Possible cinerea v cinerea and aestivalis v aestivalis
rupestris and monticola are more sure things.
Lastly there will be a deferment bc it is too hot to ship anything right now. I’m fine with shipping in the fall but might as well wait for dormancy.
ps I may have more varieties available later.
