Here in NE Wisconsin my new vines are going dormant for winter. Is there anything I should be doing to make their (or my) first winter easier? I have a mix of northern hybrids… Petite Pearl, Marquette, and Brianna.

Next spring I’ll be installing the trellis and adding some Itasca and Frontenac.

Are they own rooted or grafted? Of grafted you should cover the graft mound up soil two inches above the graft. Own rooted? Don’t worry.

I wouldn't even worry about stakes until you are pruning. They won't go anywhere in the winter.
