Any recommendations for the best yeast to use with a Tempranillo wine kit?

The More Wine site has recommendations.

If you have several favorites and can’t decide, you might consider using several yeasts and blending back. Divide your must into different buckets, inoculate each bucket with a different yeast. Anytime the SG gets below 1.030, you can mix them back together. When the SG gets below 1.030 (said to be the point where flavors have been developed and yeast are now simply making alcohol), this is where I combine them and inoculate with a MLF bacteria.

Probably not on your short list of yeast but we used RP-15 this year and the results are very encouraging. RP-15 was discovered in Sonoma Valley (RP being Rock Pile appellation) from Syrah grapes so if you are looking for US strains, this is a good one.

Last year (2023) I made Tempranillo using Clos - a yeast from Lalvin. It was simpky fantastic- a clean, hassle free ferment in about six days. The resulting wine was the best I have ever made. I used Clos again this year on Carignane with excellent results.
