I was in on the Vinmetrica group buy, best deal I ever made. I used the titrets before and 2 consecutive tests of the same wine were 20-40 ppm diff. Vinmetrica is most accurate. :b

Yep, dollar store, any sise they have. I fill it from my gal. jug of sanitising liquid. I put enough K Meta in so that I can smell it. Then I don't smell it. :b

I decided on the Droid from Verizon. But, they want $30 for unlimited and $10 for limited. Does anyone have the $1 deal and like it. I have a problem with $30 a month extra.

I have a Chilean Chablis from juice that I just finished. pH is 2.6. For me, it is not a problem. The wine tastes good. I get concerned when the pH is 6. Then I might add a little acid. :b

I can't believe the trees held them all. Happy that they did. I never do more than about 10 bottles at a time. Is the Droid best?

Delabeled and cleaned 11 bottles today. It took more that 30 minutes. I guess I'm slower than Dan. Now I have to pick a new phone since my 2 yrs are up. I'm looking at the LG Vortex, Droid Incredible and Droid R2D2. Anybody have suggestions, I'm listening. :a1

What Tom said. But test the sulfite. If the juice is suppossedly balanced, it may already be at 100 ppm. If so add less. :b

Vinividivici; I found it counter-intuitive to stir up sediment when we are normally racking OFF of it. Thanks, Bob Bob, Google Battanage

I don't know about the calulator that you are using, but since 30ppm is good at bottling time, maybe you should us 30 as the desired level. But remember that the pH is a determining factor. Some one else will come on to help. :b

Catfish, the campden doesn't effect the taste until you get about 50 parts per million. You really should have a way to measure it, you will want about 30 ppm at bottling time. :b

1655 Gallons??? You do not sound like a home winemaker, asian pear sounds good.

Be sure to crush them real good, they should look like talc.
