    Thanks again dr. Didnt know what was going on with airlock. I'll top it off when done fermenting then. Appreciate the advice.

    Transferred to carboy today. Two questions. Looks like I'm about gallon short. Should I top off now or wait till fermentation is done? Also, airlock doesn't want to stay in place. Keeps popping up. Any suggestions?

    At what point do you usually transfer to secondary? My recipe says 1.030 sg. Just wondering if thats about right.

    I saw that this was at the low end of scale. I got the blackberries from a local grocery store. I should be able to pitch yeast then and monitor the acid later. Thanks.

    Tested it three times. Im getting .5 percent acid. Is this a little low?

    Found another store that has acid tester. Just a longer drive. So, I will test acid when I get back. Guess I should have asked questions before making must. Just thought I could go by the recipe. Only way to learn-screw it up. :-)

    Shop is closed till tuesday. Should I still add yeast today or wait till I get acid tester?

    Thanks dr. Acid level is more important than I realized. I'll try to test today and post results.

    Yeast just says premier cuvee. Since I have two packets, would it be best to add more yeast since my sugar is high? And I will try to get ph tester today and check acid level. Where should acid be?

    No I dont. I did add acid blend to it as the recipe said to.

    It is a red star wine yeast. I believe. Dont have package in front of me. Home brew shop said it'd be the best for blackberry wine

    Dont know if u can see but not resting on bottom. Maybe I just dont know how to read it or should get a better one?

    Am I just reading this wrong? Looks like .996 at very top of hydro in water and 1.070 in dessert wine on hydro with mush.

    Wow. Hydro went almost to bottom. Lot different than with mush sample.aybe I jist dont know what I'm looking at. Pic of water and will put one of mush.

    Added the 2 lbs. And hydro reading went up to 1.070. Maybe I should let it set overnight and take a reading tomorrow before adding yeast? And how much sugar would u recommend for 6 gals?
