Transferred to carboy today. Two questions. Looks like I'm about gallon short. Should I top off now or wait till fermentation is done? Also, airlock doesn't want to stay in place. Keeps popping up. Any suggestions?
I saw that this was at the low end of scale. I got the blackberries from a local grocery store. I should be able to pitch yeast then and monitor the acid later. Thanks.
Found another store that has acid tester. Just a longer drive. So, I will test acid when I get back. Guess I should have asked questions before making must. Just thought I could go by the recipe. Only way to learn-screw it up. :-)
Yeast just says premier cuvee. Since I have two packets, would it be best to add more yeast since my sugar is high? And I will try to get ph tester today and check acid level. Where should acid be?
Wow. Hydro went almost to bottom. Lot different than with mush sample.aybe I jist dont know what I'm looking at. Pic of water and will put one of mush.
Added the 2 lbs. And hydro reading went up to 1.070. Maybe I should let it set overnight and take a reading tomorrow before adding yeast? And how much sugar would u recommend for 6 gals?
