Other FWK Frutta Blackberry and Strawberry

My FW Blackberry ABV came in at 11.82% without chaptalizing. If you are a fan of Country wines, this one is a real winner.

    Ground Cherry - Wow!

Try this link. https://www.rareseeds.com/ground-cherry-aunt-molly-s There is an older variety but this one seemed to grow bigger and better.

    Ground Cherry - Wow!

This should be an interesting combination. I can't wait to see how it turns out! I've got a bunch of ground cherries in the freezer I have yet to decide how to use.

    Fall Rhubarb wine

Here's what I did. If you want a lighter tasting wine, cut back on the rhubarb. @GreginND has put his recipe for a lighter version on this site. He is a commercial winemaker. Rhubarb Wine Recipe Used 3-25-22 35# of frozen rhubarb (figure 9.72#/gallon)—> 3.6gallons finished wine or 18 bottles...

"Ummm, no." @jswordy That is what I know. Wrong breed. We raised cattle growing up. :)

    Other Tweeking Cheap Kits

I learned about FermCalc on this site. They just put it on the App Store recently so I downloaded it instead of going to their website. Plus it's free. Of course always check with your hydrometer to confirm.

Hi Steve. Here's a screenshot from the app FermCalc. I have info for SS but have to dig further.

    Fall Rhubarb wine

Love to hear about your experiments. I’m thinking of upping the ABV on part of my next rhubarb, increasing sugar and make it a dessert wine.

    Fall Rhubarb wine

I’ve made rhubarb wine from stalks that I froze. It’s delicious. I don’t have my notes with me but I believe I doubled the amount of rhubarb that most recipes called for.

    Other Current Favorite Amarone Kit?

The 1st RJS Amarone I made tasted good after 9 months so I bottled it. 2nd batch I waited a year even though it tasted good sooner. My 1st batch is now 3 years old and tastes great. My conclusion is, this kit is hard to screw up. Enjoy.

    WineXpert Aroma kit wine

6 months is a bit early for the Private Reserve reds. I generally don't expect much from until at least the 9 month mark and prefer 12 months and longer. Whites on the other hand just taste good sooner.

    Other Italian Red Wine Kits

Love the RJS Amarone but there are many choices.

To me it looks like it should have a red line through it. 😉

    Thinking outside the box

Looks interesting, Joe. I'll have to try it once I get through my backlog.

    Other ABV Crafted Series

I like these kits and find them fun ones to tweak. I've done the Merlot, Malbec, Zinf Blush, Tempranillo, Washington State Yakima Red Blend (all of which were the medium bodied 11.5%. I also did the heavy bodied Corvina. These have all produced very easy drinkers; not in the same league (in my...
