Don't know if I mentioned this earlier but

I tried to keep the vines in my yard a secret, it did not work. The deer know the exact moment when they are ready and take full advantage of my absence or slumber.

    What R you doing today?

Racked the muscadine, second pressing muscadine and blueberry. Squeezed pulp bag on new blueberry and checked SG. Converted a corner of the barn into a wine lab. Mulched the blueberry plants. Finished with a steak and fixings.

    Sweetened too soon

I left it with an airlock on until it was free of gas and sediment. Bottled basically so I could try another batch.

    Sweetened too soon

I did the same thing with my first attempt at making wine. Got worried about leaving the baby home alone while on vacation and got in a hurry. I put it away, out of site and out of mind, and it cleared in about four months. It is now bottled and hidden. I will see what I have in the bottle...

    My first batch

Hang in there, everything looks o.k. to me but I am almost as green as you are. I would let it ferment until your hydrometer reads 1.000 or less for a few days. Someone with more experience will be along soon I am sure. If it taste good now you most likely on the right track.

    Apple & Peach Advice?

I cannot speak about the apple, have not tried it yet. For peach, you will need plenty of fruit and patience.

A man stole a can of peaches

A South Georgia court room was filled with family and friends from both sides as the case of a stolen can of peaches was being heard by the court. The judge asked the defendant "Did you in fact take the can of peaches?" The man answered "Yes sir, I was hungry and short on cash". "How many...

    Thank you!

Thank you Rocky. I must say I have surprised myself! Wade, I did remove some. It posed to be a little difficult to take a sample to check SG. I also worried about losing power to a thunderstorm and losing AC for an extended period of time. Thank you.
