Well, I bought some new wine glasses today. Since this is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada I will use them with our turkey dinner. Now I just have to decide which wine to Christen them with.

The one I broke came with my starter kit too. The one I bought is made in France and it says it's for wine and beer. It is so easy to read that you can get readings like that. :b

I managed to break my hydrometer yesterday. Today I went in to my local BoP and picked up a new one. What a difference! the new one is WAY easier to read. I suggest that if any newbies are having trouble reading their hydrometer, it might not be you, look around for a new one.

I'm thinking the Petite Verdot for sure. It seems everyone that tried this one when it was originally released loved it. I may also do the Shiraz and the Quartet.

I added more sorbate and another packet of chitosan and it cleared up nicely. :h I bottled it today and it tastes great. :d I'll get another batch going soon, 'cause I have a feeling this batch is going to disappear quickly! ;)

Tom, I think you may be right. I thought I had the gas out but I may wrong. If I get the gas out now will it clear or will I have to add more chitosan?

I'm not sure what's going on with this one. It tastes great, but at six weeks it is just not clearing.

The fall 2009 batch is in! I got a call a couple of days ago saying I could pick up my order. I hope to get this one started soon.

There is definitely one included in the kit. But, reading the product sheet, they call it a dry wine.
