My bucket full of nectar from the amarone Angels was delivered yesterday! I had thought about calling in sick today to start it, but thought I would be a good girl and begin tomorrow.

Quick question tho, it says to take sterilized cheese cloth and squeeze out all the raisin juice in the carboy. I am assuming I sterilize this cheese cloth like the rest of my equipment??

That's right uavwmn. Just use k-meta solution to higher strength for sterilizing. I use the fruit straining bags I get from George. Some folks use paint straining bags. Just clean, rinse and launder the bags after use and you can reuse if in good shape. Just soak them in k-meta before use.

Jack, I have the Amarone in the fermenter as of last night. Once it starts bubbling I will start the pics from that point on.

The juice in the bag is HEAVY for me. So I used my auto siphon thinigie to siphon the juice from the bag to the bucket. Once it was more than 1/2 drained, I poured the rest into the bucket.
No splash, no mess and every drop is in the bucket!!

I am looking forward to you starting yours. We can compare notes!!

I think Jack is talking about the Meglioli. That isnt in stock yet, I think George is expecting to be in his store around the 24th.
