That's a pretty cool little tribute there, Dave; congrats!

And yes, can't forget Lon!

Indeed, I never forget Lon. He was my inspiration from the beginning. I often leave messages on his site, asking him to come visit us. I wish the writer had mentioned him in the article. I will send them a measage straight away.

You all deserve a great amount of credit in this as well. If no one had tried the recipe and made versions of their own, it would have gone nowhere.

As far as the contraversy regarding credit for me. Look at it this way. If a cook came up with a really good oatmeal cookie recipe, would anyone hound them for taking the credit? I'm not taking credit for inventing wine, or lemon wine, or berry wine. But I will take a little credit for putting it all together as Dragon Blood.

Still, what an amazing thing! I'm always shocked by the love for this recipe. Blind pig finding an acorn and all...:p

I will see if I can contact the writer and make some corrections to their recipe. They do seem to have gotten ahold of an older version.

Dave
That was a very nice thing for that person to do for you - as it is much deserved !! Keep up the great thread :try

Thank you, Rod. I appreciate the kudos, and the support.

I have always insisted that this is a wine for the people. Everywhere. I have had many, many correspondence with hundreds of people across the world via e-mail---independant of this web site---regarding their love for this wine. It never ceases to amaze me. There are currently people in China, New Zealand, Italy, Belguim, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, and Ireland (to name a few) making Dragon Blood. Not to mention the many wonderful folks here in the states cranking it out. Not eveyone around the globe can find the triple berry blend, so many are making it out of what's on hand. Follow recipe, insert fruit of choice, make wine. What could be easier!

As I continue to insist, I am just the messenger. It is all the great people making it (like you, Silver Award Winner!) that has turned this recipe into something wonderful...and international. You all humble me...

Finishing up my very first batch of both DDDB and Skeeter Pee. Thankful for all the help here! That article on DB was very cool! Congrats Danger Dave!
