Hi gang.. Looks like a fun place. New here and I have a few questions. If I were making corn mash, what would be the best yeast. I would like to get yeast that will last to 14% or higher. I have made lots of wine with just baking yeast, but I would like to use brewers yeast in a few different recipes.

I would like to make a cinnamon apple for Xmas.
Anyone know a recipe to make a fruity, heavy wine?
I am also lookling for a supplier for brewers yeast and a few opther things.

Thanks in advance...:a1

Not sure what kind of "wine" you plan on corn. Butt, try 1118

If you are looking for distillers yeast then the link below is for you and please dont discuss further distilling here. Your welcome to talk all you want about wine and beer here though and we welcome any questions you may have about these 2 subjects. If looking for wine and beer making stuff click on either of the 2 banners above which alternate every few times you update this site as its an alternating banner.

hello and welcome to the forum,

you're cutting it a bit fine to make wine for this christmas.. if you started a cinnamon apple now.. you could be drinking it by christmas 2011 though..

check our recipe section for fruit wine recipes, there are quite a few there.

I will say not to use that Turbo yeast as its nasty and leaves a very strong after taste in your mash or what ever you are making!!!!!!!!! Yuck!!!!!!!!!!
