I has sprayed religiously with Manab and Captan, alternation every other 2 weeks and still got black rot on my Sebel grapes. I started when I first saw bud break.
Any suggestions or is it a lost cause???

Hey plantguy what area of the country are you in?
Also what type of ground cover is around your vines?

If the rain pressure is high, a closer spray program will help, say every 7-10 days. Too late for this year now. It has been a tough year all over.

I live in Dalton, GA. 20miles South of Chattanuga
We have had a very wet Spring, 14 " above normal.
I use no groind cover.
I keep the weeds down with round up.

I read the Imunex can be used instead of Nova and it might help.

Thanks,

Hans

For black rot control, recommendations are; Mancozeb up to 66 days pre-harvest and then switch over to Immunox .

Mancozeb is better for black rot than Captan, but Captan still provides limited control and is a good substitute for it when you need to stop using the Mancozeb because of the 66 day PHI (pre-harvest interval).
