Bottled wine

So today I went ahead and bottled my first ever wine.

I did forget to add metabisulfite just prior to bottling. I did add metabisulfite approximately two weeks ago during clearing.

Did I just screw it up, or is the addition I made two weeks ago good enough?

Well, you wine might only last 7-8 years in the bottle now.



..................................Just joking. Two weeks is not a bad idea actually. Sometimes those last minute actions can provoke some additional sediment to drop out so that two week wait is certainly no problem.

I agree, 2 weeks out is fine. Besides, your first batch of wine will "evaporate" much quicker than you believe.
