My wife and I picked and juiced a lot of wild black raspberries earlier this year for jelly. She is tired of making jelly and I was wondering if I could use the remaining juice to make myself some wine. We have maybe a gallon to a gallon and a half of juice with no pulp. It was put in the freezer when she decided she had made enough jelly. Thanks in advance for any advice.

i wouldnt try juicing it againg but for sure you can use it for wine :)

add sugar and depending on how much you want to make (i say go for 3gal or more, to much work for less)add water, pectic enzyme, yeast nutrient and add a good yeast and you should be good to go.

and if you dont have one get a hydrometer first before starting it all this will help you along the way.

look around and learn lots there is a ton of information you can soak in here, and WELCOME!!!

:b

I don't think I would add that much water to make a 3 gallon batch, that is a lot of water. I would possibly go for 2 gallons if you have 1 gallon of juice.

very true, i wouldnt follow what i have exactly there but use it more as a basis of design :D

check the recipe section for a better detailed idea

Depending on what your desired end result is...

You could add sugar to whatever starting SG you want which would most likely get you up to 2 gallons. Or, you could start with a base of something else (grape juice concentrate, skeeter pee, etc), then use your 1.5 gallons to add a distinct extra flavor to the wine.

In either case, you'll need to understand the basics of winemaking. Start with one of these:
