The German Gewurztraminer that I am making calls for (and includes) Kieselsol and Chitosan, can I substitute Sparkolloid?
I've use both products, and to be honest, I've found that Sparkolloid works faster and in my opinion, better.
Thanks in advance,
Tom

Tom, I don't think there would be any problem at all. Indeed, you probably could get away without any fining agent if you were willing to wait until the wine cleared naturally. I have heard some great things about Sparkolloid and I am going to have to get some and try it.

Rocky, I was very skeptical about using sparkolloid at first, the thought of adding a boiling hot liquid to my wine didn't seem right.
I followed Dangerdave's advice and recipe for dragon blood and it came out crystal clear, since then, I've returned all of the Super Kleer KC that I had purchased and use Sparkolloid exclusively.
It literally works in 12 hrs, within a few days, your wine is crystal clear, and it doesn't affect the taste or consistency of the wine.
Thanks for the advice!
