This is a Blog I follow since I am a frequent connoisseur and consumer WA state wines. Great read on following a dream that many of us have on these boards. Giving up the day job for a career in the Wine Industry.

Cases of Courage

Ha!

Kit wine is one thing, fresh grapes is another thing....... We'll see how the first few batches of wine from Deming, NM turn out. I plan on doubling my production of fresh grape wine each year for the next few years at least. If the quality is good who knows where this venture will take me. Still a rookie (for now)

I could retire to Walla Walla or Yakima Valley someday for sure. Lots of good fruit and land is still pretty reasonable. They even have a Costco in Richand which is a must for me.....

may i suggest then that you pick up if possible a parcel of land now, while you have another income...they dont make land anymore and if this is a place that you really like/love then at the very least it will make you personally happy...that is where the real currency is

you are given between say 60 an 100 tick tocks in your life and about fifty of yours are gone

as for costco..i agree...that and sam's club....italian food places...real ones..not the olive garden ;) , lonhorn steak house, ruth chris's steak house....shorty's mexican road house restaraunt...cripes i could keep going...but better than all of those things is the peace and silence found in a vineyard, standing under the sun
