Cheap Wine, Really?

Guess no hobby is cheap, but I didn't realize how quickly the initial cost went up.

1. Started with a Starter Equipment Kit $98.00
2. Added a Wine Kit $65.00
3. Found a Glass carboy $15.00
4. Bought some bottles $15.00
5. Found a Floor Corker $25.00
6. Decided I needed a Thermoter & Auto Siphon $20.00
7. Found 3 more Glass carboys & misc equip $45.00
8. Wife wanted Island Mist Peach Apricot $65.00
7. From forums I decided to get a Mini Filter $80.00
8. I love Port 23L, so add $128.00

Total $556.00 with expectations of 90 bottles or $6.18 per.

Of course the cost will drop as I continue but initially it was a quick start.

I keep telling myself that it will pay for itself too ... and then I buy more stuff.

I'm going to have to remember this when I need some woodworking tools - Hon - It's so I can make wine.

Hey - look at all the fun you are having. Growing your own fruit helps keep the cost down.

It will be cheaper once you've payed for all your equipment. Especially if you make wine from scratch using fruit that you got for free.

To be fair, it starts to pay for itself when you begin to barter with it ...
