Just bottled 15 bottles of muscadine wine. Out of 15 bottles, only 2 of them had the cork flush with the top of the bottle. They all felt like they bottomed out and the lever went all the way down just like the 2 that were flush with the top of the bottle. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help

What kind of corker do you have, mine has an adjustment nut on the plunger to adjust the depth.

I have a floor corker with an adjuster. Even so I have found if I don't do it with one swift motion the cork does not go down as far.

As Thig said; we need to know what equipment you are using.

Also make sure the bottle is tight to the corker. I have an assortment of bar coasters to put under the bottles that are a tad different in heights. It's quicker than adjusting the bottle height adjustment a 1/8" or so to get a tight fit. Roy

Yeah, Bud, either get a floor corker or quit holding the cork so tight in the vise grips when you hit it with the hammer.
