Looking to make a 6 gallon cranberry wine. I tend to like the sweeter
wines. Which is better fresh or frozen cranberries and does anybody
have a good recipe for it. Thanks everyone!

Fortunately I made mine at Thanksgiving time, so cranberry products were plentifull. I got 2 big bags of cranberries from Sams club, I think they were about 5# each. And 8 welche's frozen cranberry juice. Sugar to 1.090 and the usual other chemicals. Once stabilized, I sweetened back with 3 cans of welche's cranberry juice which really brought the cranberry taste forward. I have checked the store and have only seen Welches cranberry juice once (a few cans).


Edit: I also Added several oranges to mine, which gave it that cranberry orange flavor. Just through a few seedless oranges in the food prossesor, along with the cranberries.Edited by: jobe05
