Well. That thing about Kombucha and wine making .. it’s true. Do not do them at the same time.
My Plum Wine is now very pretty , yummy Kombucha:/ I’ve been making both for years without incident.. but I was multi-tasking a couple weeks ago.. and figured out that what I thought were fermentation bubbles, was actually SCOBY scum :/
I think I failed to sanitize my strainer as I was bottling and condensing. ( I’m always short jugs / carboys/ bottles .. I’m sure ya’ll understand
I guess it’s time to slow down production.. Or invest in more containers..?!
I’ll enjoy my 5% Kombucha.
