Do they sell smaller drill attachments that will fit in a few of my carboys ?

I can get past the nut but have to push really hard. Of course it scratches the whole inside of the neck of the carboys.

Hit that screw that sticks out with a grinder. Same for the nut on the other side.

You know… I was going to try that, but I didn’t want to mess it up. It makes me feel better knowing that others do it too.

You could also modify your apparatus~ I use a fiberglass driveway marker in which I placed a short split lengthwise. I put the fabric in, then place an end cap to keep the split closed.
