The refrigerated truck from California arrived yesterday. Almost 10 tons of wine grapes from Lodi and Martinez. Half was Petite Syrah and half was Zinfandel. I snagged 300 pounds of each.
The grapes were in beautiful condition and the chemistry almost perfect. I destemmed and crushed in my driveway. We’re tired and happy and the must is happily fermenting away in my garage.
