Sounds like you can and they are basically giving them away! Just need to rent a truck and drive cross country next fall! :db

For the record, Jim can stop by and pick me up in TN. Happy to help, and I will pay my own expenses. I will not pay for any DUIs on the way other than my own, however... OMG, we could do a Hunter Thompson thingie! Fear and Loathing on the Wine Trail! I am so in! Jim, what say you?

You're kinda, sorta, almost on the way.

I have driven 2500 miles to get Amador grapes. I picked, crushed and fermented in California. I then drove back another 2500 miles with carboys of “wine” in the back. Sounds Insane? Yes it is.

@Boatboy24, I'm a little south but I have relative farther north in TN so can leave my car there and meet you along I-40. Let me know when, lol... We could rent a U-Haul and make stops all the way back! Allowing for days to recover from hangovers, I figure a month should do it. 😄

Yup, I immediately went to that clip after reading about it. In the book, Tyson says he weighed 300+ pounds then and was using cocaine daily. To think that at age 58, the guy got in good enough shape to get in the ring and last the (shortened) distance with a 27-year-old! He has nothing to be ashamed of in earning that $20 million. BTW, I thought the book was a great read. Mike Tyson probably has blown through more millions than most, if not all, athletes. But it's how his mind works that has always intrigued me. In many senses, he's broader and more self-aware than I would have expected.

I-40 is the route I took moving a friend so San Diego several years back. But we did it in 4 days - not recommended.

@Boatboy24, yep, that 4-day thing won't work because every time we stop to deliver grapes, we're gonna have to get drunk! Stopping off to see Craig (@cmason1957) alone may cost us up to 5 days! 🤣

And I'm pretty sure @ibglowin 's cellar is overflowing, so we'll have to give him a hand as well.

I drive thru I-40 going from eastern NC to California. Can I muscle in on the trip?

I-40, heck that's only 5 hours from me. I'm in for doing the road trip as well.

And y'all are more than welcome to stop by the basement. I think we could certainly find something to consume down there.
